Fairmont Heritage Place -The Cedars

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of Accor, and Miami real estate developer Gregg Covin have signed definitive agreements to develop and manage the first luxury private branded residential offering in North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountain region. Fairmont Heritage Place - The Cedars, Hendersonville will offer private ownership with the option to participate in a rental program. It will also give owners access to amenities and world-class services at Fairmont's hotels and resorts. The properties will open in 2025, and they will provide luxurious amenities and premier hospitality infused with local culture.

The Cedars, Hendersonville, will offer a unique experience and outstanding services to the Blue Ridge Mountain region. The area is known for its beautiful scenery, rich culture and history, and welcoming community. The residences will be located two blocks from the historic Main Street, and they will feature exceptional cuisine and beverage programs that appeal to owners, guests, and locals. The properties will also include flexible meeting and events spaces, wellness centers, cooking schools, retail space, and nearby access to a private club with a Tom Fazio-designed Champion Hills Golf Club.

Fairmont-branded residence owners will have access to Accor's Ownership Benefits Program, which offers Diamond status in ALL-Accor Live Limitless, access to a VIP reservation desk, and special residence owner rates at more than 5,000 Accor hotels and resorts worldwide. The Cedars hotel was originally built in 1914 in Neo-Classical Revival style for Jeannie Bailey, whose husband, railroad tycoon J.W. Bailey, headed Southern Railway at the time. The hotel was acquired by Clifton Shipman in 1976, and Gregg Covin partnered with the Shipman family and Brian M. Gaines to make his vision a reality.
